The message here is clear: “You guys, remember how great ‘The Simpsons’ used to be? Don’t you want to reblog this?”
Can you imagine actually spending your day looking for or creating screencaps from old episodes of the Simpsons? It makes us sad, and we spend part of our week looking for tumblrs to snark at.
The thing is, we know exactly who would enjoy this, our old college roommate. Everybody has a college roommate horror story. Ours involves a guy who loved pepperoni pizza, hot dogs and not showering. Woof. That’s a horrible combination of smells, even for a dorm room.
If tumblr had been invented while we were in college, we could just see him staying up late, eating cold pizza from a greasy Domino’s Pizza box, and soaking up the nostalgia as we grumbled in the corner of the room writing in our primitive blogspot blog about how amazing The Shins are.
See? Nostalgia can be pretty destructive and awful.
Pros: Even we have to admit, the name is pretty great. Thank the tumblr gods they decided against “Fuck Yeah, Simpsons.”
